Hat Trick in Metropolis

Minmatar Militia Liberates Three Systems

Almost one year to the day after the Minmatar Militia set Halmah free, the sons and daughters of the Matar liberated the systems of Flosewin, Turnur, and Uisper in the region of Metropolis - freeing millions of Minmatar citizens who had toiled too long under the illegal occupation of the Amarr.

On July 18, 2010, a Minmatar fleet of sixty pilots bombed and captured three Amarr bunkers in the Metro constellation of Eugidi, flipping the three vulnerable systems to Minmatar occupancy, and ending a brutal era of slavery.

The operation - which was the culmination of countless weeks of plex battles in the region - started just after 12:00 when Carib Devist, Annah Kitheran, Sasawong, and twenty stalwart freedom fighters finished capping the plexes in the three systems.

While these pilots - who are seldom thanked or acknowledged for their daily battle with the Amarr - were making the systems vulnerable, Seraphine Keratuss was organizing a bunker busting fleet of sixty warriors.

Like clockwork, when the three Metro systems were ready to be flipped, the Minmatar heavy fleet arrived on the scene with over thirty battleships, two dreadnoughts, two carriers, a squadron of stealth bombers, and dozens of support ships.

The Amarr bunkers fell like dominoes. The Flosewin bunker melted at 14:40, the Uisper bunker collapsed at 15:04, and the Turnur bunker exploded at 15:28.

"Three bunkers down!" proclaimed Carib Devist in the general militia communication channel. "Mission accomplished!"

The Amarr, who had put so much effort into capturing and enslaving these systems, did not even bother to show up to defend them.

"We came ready to fight the slavers," said Deadbeat pilot Spike Diesel, who was among the corps warriors in the fleet. "But the Amarr didn't make an effort. But what they did do was call the Caldari to do the fighting for them."

Unfortunately for the Amarr - who have recently been using mercenaries to fight their war - the Caldari fleet arrived late, hours after the Metro operation had finished.

And when FC Fatmanpaul sent a Minmatar fleet to attack the Caldari in Dal, the capitalist puppets fled just as the Minmatar were ambushed by an Amarr heavy fleet. But unlike the Caldari, the Minmatar did not flee.

"Stand and fight!" said Fatman over audio, barking out the primaries in another outgunned battle - 60 to 40 - in which the Minmatar lost 29 to 11. But at the end of the day, our freedom fighters flew away with heads held high - they had made a statement on the field. They would not flee and they would not falter.

"What happened today in Metro and Dal tells you what the Minmatar are all about," said Deadbeat CEO Lao Zuki. "There is no reward for busting bunkers, no money, no standings, nothing. These pilots do thankless work everyday. And Fatman's stand in Dal against the combined Caldari and Amarr fleets was absolutely stunning because the enemy was light on tackle - our pilots could have bailed at any time. But they chose to stand and fight. Our people spoke today, loud and clear."
